The Calender Slitter AIO is a unified piece of equipment that combines the functions of a high-precision roller press and a slitter; it features an optimized design and manufacturing.process, effectively resolving the issue of wrinkling during wide-format stripe coating.
设备特点Equipment features
This machine is designed for the continuous calendering and slitting of various lithium-ion battery electrode sheets (both cathode and anode). It adopts constant-pressure and constant roll-gap calendering, enabling continuous processing of both continuous-coated and stripe-coated (zebra-pattern) electrodes to increase material density. After calendering, the electrode passes through the slitting unit, where it is slit into multiple strips and wound separately. The system consists of a constant-tension unwinding unit, calender, front and rear tensioning devices, thickness measurement system, slitting unit, rewinding unit, electrical control system, servo-hydraulic system, and web guiding system.
Roll speed: 2–150 rpm, stepless variable speed adjustable.
It enables closed-loop control of thickness pressure or roll gap, achieving precise thickness control.
It features tab calendering and stretch-wrinkle removal capabilities, achieving a high compaction ratio.
Incoming roll diameter: 1500 mm; Width: 1500 mm.
Electrode thickness uniformity after rolling: ≤ ±1.5 ?m (dependent on incoming material); Maximum rolling force: 3200 kN.
Prior to the rolling process, this machine can be equipped with edge-trimming, dust removal, and iron removal mechanisms driven by an electric motor. Its primary function is to trim away the uncoated zones and raised edges on both sides of the material strip, thereby preventing strip breakage during rolling—a risk that arises from differential stress between the coated and uncoated edge areas. The position of the cutting blades is adjustable, ensuring broad applicability. A rotating brush cleans dust from the material strip, which is then extracted by a vacuum system.
The slitting process utilizes edge guiding and tension control systems to simultaneously slit both the foil and material sections; with independently controlled slitting blades, it automatically cuts the material into the required specifications.
The equipment offers a range of optional auxiliary functions—including tab calendering, multi-stage stretching, fixed-axis automatic roll changing, and hydraulically assisted roll changing—making it fully featured and highly adaptable.
